Honors Option Guidelines
If you would like to pursue an Honors Option for any my courses, please schedule a meeting through Calendly (link also on my Contact page). During the first meeting, we will have a casual conversation concerning what kind of research interests or course topics you would be interested in exploring.
My expectations for the Honors Option are for you to develop a research design and produce either a paper proposal or a poster presentation that could be used for the undergraduate colloquium, should you decide to participate. The process will involve developing a research question of your choice related to the class, reading and organizing academic literature into a useful review to set up your argument, developing a theory and hypothesis, and exploring some initial rudimentary methods to infer possible results and implications. We meet regularly during the semester outside of class to develop this project together.
